Convincing a client to incur the additional first cost of an energy study during systems implementation is as much about marketing as it is about technology. The old adage that a good product sells itself applies as much to this situation as with any other product or service. If the concept is approached correctly and the right principles are applied, there is a good possibility everyone will come out a winner. Obama Administration Launches $130 Million Building-Energy-Efficiency Effort

The Obama administration has announced a multiagency initiative to spur regional economic growth while making buildings more energy efficient. Seven federal agencies have issued a combined funding opportunity announcement of up to $129.7 million over five years to create a regional research center that will develop new building efficiency technologies and work with local partners to implement the technologies in area buildings.
