Growing Backlog Positive Sign for Nonresidential Construction

Nationally, backlog expanded by 2.7 percent to 8.7 months, with the South's previous record-high reading growing by 8.7 percent to 11.19 months.

As the fourth-quarter-2015 Construction Backlog Indicator (CBI) shows, “The nonresidential-construction recovery remains very much in place,” Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Chief Economist Anirban Basu says.



Nationally, backlog expanded by 2.7 percent to 8.7 months during the last quarter of 2015, with the South's previous record-high reading growing by 8.7 percent to 11.19 months.
