HPAC Engineering Author and Colleague Named Partners

Buck and Crutchfield were named leaders in recognition of significant contributions to the business growth of RMF’s office in Charleston, S.C., since the early 2000s.

Craig Buck, PE, LEED AP, HFDP, author of the November 2013 HPAC Engineering article “Chilled Beams in Health-Care Patient Rooms,” and colleague Beth Crutchfield, PE, LEED AP, recently were appointed partners by RMF Engineering, Baltimore-based full-service engineering firm.

Buck and Crutchfield were named leaders in recognition of significant contributions to the business growth of RMF’s office in Charleston, S.C., since the early 2000s.

According to Pinnix, Buck and Crutchfield will assist in the day-to-day operations of the South Carolina office as well as the firm’s expansion in the southeast. Additionally, they will oversee service offerings in their respective fields.

Buck, a mechanical engineer and project manager, has extensive experience designing HVAC, plumbing, and medical-gas systems for health-care facilities. He is well-versed in design standards and code requirements associated with health-care facilities, having successfully designed systems serving a wide variety of specialized care areas.

Crutchfield, an electrical engineer and project manager, has a primary area of emphasis in institutional-building and health-care work. Her expertise encompasses the design of medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution, standby-power, interior and exterior lighting, fire-alarm, and special systems.
