Intelligent boiler control
The RBT-3000 low-water cutoff and fuel economizer is designed to maximize fuel efficiency and provide low-water cutoff protection for hydronic heating systems. The unit’s intelligent controls automatically adjust water temperature based on heat load without the need for an outdoor sensor. The device does not require programming or replacement of existing controls. The RBT-3000 meets or exceeds standards recommended by major boiler manufacturers and required by the 2000 International Mechanical Code. An exclusive self-cleaning probe eliminates the need for probe maintenance. —McDonnell & Miller

Boilers with O2 monitoring
The Benchmark series of high-efficiency boilers has been expanded to include the BMK 750 and BMK 1000, with inputs of 750,000 and 1 million Btuh, respectively. Both units are equipped with a patent-pending oxygen-monitoring system that displays the O2 level directly on the unit in real time and can be remotely monitored via Modbus to allow monitoring of emissions and fuel economy without traditional combustion calibration devices. The monitoring system also is designed to reduce boiler downtime by predetermining boiler maintenance requirements. —AERCO

EC fans with Modbus controls
Electronically commutated (EC) fans with Modbus controls are available in axial and backward-curved radial configurations. The adoption of Modbus controls increases fan efficiency and significantly reduces power consumption in applications that require multiple networked fans. Each secondary fan can be programmed to come online separately and at variable speeds. The backward-curved EC fans are available in 10 sizes from 250 mm to 710 mm, producing airflow up to 9,300 cfm or static pressure up to 6.75 in. The axial fans come in seven sizes from 500 mm to 1,000 mm, with top airflow of 20,000 cfm. —Rosenberg

Condensing boiler
With inputs of up to 1,112 mbh, the Vitocrossal 200 CM2 gas-fired floor-standing boiler offers advanced condensing technology for commercial installations. It features the manufacturer’s Inox-Crossal stainless-steel heat exchanger for maximum heat extraction and reliability and a fully modulating pre-mix cylinder burner for quiet, environmentally friendly operation. The unit offers easy serviceability, fuel flexibility (NP/LPG/LNG), and direct- or chimney-venting options. —Viessmann

Flexible gas piping
Diamondback flexible gas piping is corrugated stainless-steel tubing that is International Accreditation Service certified and compliant with building codes in most parts of the United States. The piping can be snaked around corners and through holes, eliminating the need for heavy cutting and threading equipment and dramatically reducing the number of fittings that must be tested. —Metal-Fab

Thermal-imaging cameras
The i3, i5, and i7 represent FLIR’s next generation of point-and-shoot infrared cameras. The cameras offer a high-resolution 2.8-in. color LCD display, thermal accuracy of ±2 percent or 2°C, and a measurement range of -20°C to 250°C. Resolution on the i3 is 3,600 pixels. The i5 and i7 have resolutions of 10,000 and 19,600 pixels, respectively. — FLIR

Multiple-building dashboard
A building-automation-system dashboard from Alerton enables end users to display data from an unlimited number of buildings to as many as 450 concurrent users using Building Suite 3 software. The multiple-building dashboard allows building owners to set up as many dashboards as they need to share information. It does not require any special hardware to set up. The dashboard provides a familiar browser-based interface for customizing displays and enables users to view real-time building data at a glance. —Alerton
