Presenters Sought for ASHRAE High Performance Buildings Conference

The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers has issued a call for presenters for High Performance Buildings Conference: A Focus on Deep Energy Savings, which will be held March 12 and 13, 2012, in Mission Valley, Calif.

The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers has issued a call for presenters for High Performance Buildings Conference: A Focus on Deep Energy Savings, which will be held March 12 and 13, 2012, in Mission Valley, Calif.

The conference is intended to provide guidance concerning energy efficiency, renewable applications, and operating practices. Attendance is limited to 300 to encourage dialogue and facilitate the exchange of ideas.

The conference will offer a technical-applications track focusing on strategies, technologies, tools, measured performance, and optimal operations and a policy track focusing on current and future legislation and related programs.

The conference’s target facilities are new and existing non-residential buildings. Case studies, especially from the region, are requested.

Abstracts of 300 to 500 words are requested on the following topics:

• Applications results.

• Energy audits.

• Commissioning.

• Benchmarking of utility consumption.

• Economics, design, and construction.

• Energy-efficiency strategies (building envelope, lighting and daylighting, passive, HVAC, plug loads).
