Looking for innovative and creative approaches taken by facility managers, Siemens Industry Inc. has issued The Smartest Building in America challenge.
Buildings with APOGEE or TALON building-automation systems are eligible. Participants are asked to submit brief videos explaining why their building is the smartest in America at www.smartestbuildinginamerica.com.
A panel of facility-management authorities will judge the entries. Two prizes will be awarded in each category (APOGEE and TALON).
Grand-prize winners will receive $25,000 in products and services from Siemens' Building Technologies Division or a $25,000 contribution to a qualified charity of their choice. Runners-up will receive $15,000 in products and services from Siemens' Building Technologies Division or a $15,000 contribution to a qualified charity of their choice.
