Fresh-Aire UV Environmental Surface Disinfection System (ESDS)

Environmental Surface Disinfection System (ESDS) is a ceiling-mounted ultraviolet- (UV-) light system for irradiating pathogens on high-touch surfaces in surgery, patient, and other rooms in health-care facilities. Compared with mobile robotic UV methods, the stationary, fully automatic, hands-free ESDS has no moving parts and no maintenance needs, other than quick and easy lamp replacement. The fixtures range up to 60 in. in length and can be mounted in tandem for maximum disinfection dosage and coverage in rooms of any size. Besides surfaces, the system disinfects airborne biological contaminants that pass through the UV field via air convection.
