Chicago Faucets recently announced the publication of “Cheap Water No More,” a whitepaper discussing the escalating costs businesses will face as a result of the replacement of the country’s aging water and sewer systems.
Citing a Black and Veatch report, Chicago Faucets says thousands of miles of pipe and tens of thousands of treatment plants, storage tanks, and water distribution systems are in need of repair or replacement, adding the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimates the total cost of updating these systems will be around $384 billion over the next 20 years.
The whitepaper discusses the replacement of older manual faucets with new electronic metering faucets with low flow rates and electronic shutoffs.
