The International Facility Management Association, in collaboration with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, announced that IFMA’s credential training is now available through the online academy platform at www.fm.training, which was launched in December 2016. This new platform for IFMA’s credential training is designed to serve as a one-stop-shop for professional development needs throughout facility managers’ careers.
The website hosts IFMA’s line of credentials, including the Facility Management Professional, the Sustainability Facility Professional and the Facility Management Learning System, which covers the competencies tested on the Certified Facility Manager Exam.
As the global facility management community evolves to address the challenges of a global business environment, it is becoming more important than ever for individual FM professionals to objectively demonstrate knowledge and skills. More hiring managers are looking for and preferring candidates with professional credentials as proof of professional aptitude. This, in turn, gives FM professionals who have earned one or more credentials a competitive advantage in a volatile market.
