Quietside Names President

William E. Rau oversees all aspects of Quietside’s HVAC business.

Quietside Corp., the Southern California-based seller of energy-efficient HVAC systems and related solutions, recently named William E. Rau president of its HVAC division.

Rau, who oversees all aspects of Quietside’s HVAC business, has nearly 30 years of HVAC-industry experience. Most recently, he was president of Watsco Environmental Solutions, overseeing variable-refrigerant-flow (VRF) product categories for Carrier Enterprise and Watsco Inc. Before that, he was the first non-Japanese top executive for Mitsubishi Electric HVAC in the United States.

Quietside is the master distributor of Samsung mini-split systems, the Samsung DVM Plus III VRF system, Samsung HR and HP DVM S inverter VRF systems, and Quietside and Coaire mini-splits for North America.
