ASHRAE App Automates Standard 90.1-2010 Compliance Calculations

March 1, 2016
90.1 ECB allows users to input project parameters and calculate a design’s projected performance and compliance, with the results exportable in a spreadsheet.

A new Web application from ASHRAE automates the calculations needed to show a building project’s compliance with ANSI/ASHRAE/IES 90.1-2010, Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings.

90.1 ECB “allows users to input project parameters and then calculate the proposed design’s projected performance and compliance, with the results exportable in a workable spreadsheet for project use,” Drake Erbe, chair of the Standard 90.1 committee, said.

The application is accessible from desktop, tablet, and other devices. It allows users to store project information in one place for easy reference and comparison.

90.1 ECB is free of charge to users. For more information, go to 901ECB.ashrae.org.
