Aqua-Chem Announces Promotions

Aqua-Chem Inc., the Milwaukee-based manufacturer of package boilers, burners, and pure-water systems, recently announced the promotion of P. Welch Goggins Jr. to president and chief executive officer.

Goggins succeeded David M. Tenniswood, who assumed the position of chairman of the board. Goggins joined the board as a director.

Aqua-Chem also announced the appointments of Earle Pfefferkorn as president of its Cleaver-Brooks division, Robert St. Denis as president of its Nebraska Boiler/NATCOM division, and Normand Brais, PhD, as president of its Applied Technologies division.

Greenheck Honored

Greenheck, the Schofield, Wis.-based manufacturer of air-movement and control equipment, recently received the 2004 Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Grand Award for manufacturers with 800 or more employees from Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce.

Sloan Receives Award

Sloan Valve Co., the Franklin Park, Ill.-based manufacturer of plumbing products, recently received a 2004 Water Conservation Award for Excellence from the Florida Section of the American Water Works Association for the creation and marketing of the company's Waterfree Urinal brochure.
