Purdue University has announced the first International High Performance Buildings Conference, which will be held along with the International Compressor Engineering Conference and the International Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Conference July 12-15, 2010, at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.
Three short courses will be conducted at Purdue University prior to the conference on Saturday, July 10, and Sunday, July 11. One course, “Introduction to Compressors (Compressors 101),” will highlight various compressors currently on the market and their applications; another course will focus on supermarket refrigeration; and a third course will be on high-performance building technologies, emphasizing building envelopes and integrated-solar, ventilation, and indoor environments.
The conferences' goal is to provide an opportunity for practitioners and researchers in industry, government, consulting offices, laboratories, and universities to reach a large audience while exchanging current engineering information, problems, and solutions on compressor-technology issues, new refrigerants, and refrigeration technology and efficiency.
Special room rates will be made available to attendees at various hotels and Purdue facilities. Transportation between venues will be available to attendees by hotel courtesy vans, city and Purdue buses, and trolleys. For more information, visit the events’ Website.
