Great Energy Efficiency Day Set for Oct. 3

The Alliance to Save Energy's Commission on National Energy Efficiency Policy (EE Commission) will unveil a series of reports documenting the current state of energy efficiency in the United States, as well as local, state, national, and international best practices, as part of Great Energy Efficiency Day - Part II Oct. 3 from 8:30 a.m. to noon in Room G-50 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C.

The Alliance to Save Energy's Commission on National Energy Efficiency Policy (EE Commission) will unveil a series of reports documenting the current state of energy efficiency in the United States, as well as local, state, national, and international best practices, as part of Great Energy Efficiency Day - Part II (GEED II) Oct. 3 from 8:30 a.m. to noon in Room G-50 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C.

The EE Commission is described as a diverse bipartisan group aiming to reach consensus on a set of federal policies and other actionable recommendations to double energy productivity in the United States by 2030. Report topics to be discussed include:

• Community planning and mobility.

• Residential and commercial buildings.

• Industry products and processes.

• Power generation and smart grid.

• Systems integration.

Members of the EE Commission will discuss highlights from the reports and how they will serve as the basis of the EE Commission’s final set of policy recommendations.

Admission to GEED II is free; however, registration is required.
