EnVisioneer Contest Under Way
Danfoss, manufacturer of high-efficiency electronic and mechanical components and controls for air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration, and motion systems, is accepting applications for its second annual EnVisioneer of the Year award competition.

The competition recognizes U.S. end users, building owners, and original-equipment manufacturers who have introduced a new product, opened a new facility, or invested in a building or system upgrade using Danfoss products or solutions to realize significant energy and/or environmental savings over the last 18 months.

A team of judges representing different HVACR disciplines will review all applications and select the winner.

Danfoss will make a $5,000 donation in the winner's name to Rebuilding Together, a nonprofit organization that renovates and modifies the homes of low-income Americans, making the homes safer, more accessible, and more energy-efficient, at no cost to the homeowners.

The application deadline is April 29. For more information, visit www.envisioneering.danfoss.com/competition, or contact Lisa Tryson, director, corporate communications and public relations, at [email protected] or 410-513-1142.

Camfil Farr Offering "Test Drive"
Camfil Farr, developer and manufacturer of air filters and clean-air solutions, is letting users sample its 30/30 high-capacity MERV 8 pleated panel filter free of charge for 90 days as part of its 30/30 Test Drive program.

During the "test-drive" period, Camfil Farr will monitor and document the performance of the 30/30 filter in comparison with other filters.

The offer applies to one air-handling unit per site and up to 25 filters. It applies to facilities in North America not currently using the 30/30 filter and for test-bank installations starting in 2011. If tests prove the 30/30 filter delivers twice the service life of the facility's current brand of filters, the user agrees to purchase at least one set of replacement filters.

The 30/30 filter has an Energy Cost Index of 5 stars and is suited for virtually all applications and facilities.
