Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will give the opening keynote address for the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC’s) 2013 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, which will be held Nov. 20-22 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

Clinton “is a respected global leader whose body of work over the years has championed initiatives that are aligned with our movement: nation-building, social justice, economic equality, and children’s health and well-being,” Rick Fedrizzi, president, chief executive officer, and founding chair of the USGBC, said. “While she was senator for New York, she was a powerful voice for sustainability as an economic-development driver.”
