National BIM Standard Subject of Workshop

The National Institute of Building Sciences is planning to release National BIM Standard-United States (NBIMS-US) Version 3 later this year.

Architects, engineers, builders/contractors, and owners/clients attending ArchitectureBoston Expo (ABX) Oct. 28-30 in Boston will get an insider's look at all parts of National BIM Standard-United States (NBIMS-US) Version 3 courtesy of Jeffrey W. Ouellette, Assoc. AIA, IES, vice chair of the NBIMS-US Version 3 Project Committee.

Ouellette’s workshop, “Better Project Delivery Through Implementation of the National BIM Standard-US,” will be held Oct. 28 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

The National Institute of Building Sciences is planning to release NBIMS-US Version 3 later this year. The newest edition of the standard will provide design professionals, contractors, facility managers, and owners with technology, process, and best-practice standards to facilitate data for the design, procurement, construction, and operation of buildings.

The ABX conference program consists of more than 175 workshops and tours. The show floor features more than 400 product and service exhibitors, along with projects and designs from the industry.
