New President for Onset

Justin Testa is the new president of Onset, the Cape Cod, Mass.-based supplier of data loggers.

Testa, who previously served as executive vice president and business-unit manager for vision-products manufacturer Cognex Corp., has more than 28 years of sales, marketing, and general management experience. He holds a master-of-business-administration degree from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College and a bachelor's degree from Boston University.

Innovation Company Launched

Ron Conry, inventor of the world's first oil-free HVACR compressor, has formed a new company, Verdicorp, which will focus on research and development and the creation of products for the energy industry.

Conry will continue to serve as a senior technology advisor to Danfoss Turbocor, the Tallahassee, Fla.-based manufacturer of commercial refrigerant compressors he founded in 1994.

Yaskawa Expands Facility

Yaskawa Electric America Inc., the Waukegan, Ill.-based provider of industrial control and automation products, recently expanded its operations, adding 33,000 sq ft of manufacturing space to the new 107,000-sq-ft facility in Oak Creek, Wis., it moved into in 2009.

The facility houses manufacturing, development, building automation, and marketing.
