Grid-Interop Conference Setting Smart-Grid Standards

Held in partnership with the GridWise Architecture Council, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the Smart Grid Interoperability Panel (SGIP), the Grid-Interop Conference, to be held Nov. 30 to Dec. 3 in Rosemont, Ill., is an annual event during which industry experts, utility stakeholders, and policy makers discuss, debate, and determine the path to create interoperable systems and technology for the smart grid.

This conference, now in its fourth year, is an in-depth technology conference focused on smart-grid interoperability standards in the industry, attracting players from the electric utilities, software, cable, semiconductor, telecommunications, and electricity consumer sectors. The conference will cover a range of smart-grid standards, including those for utilities, infrastructure, and residential structures.

In addition to SGIP meeting sessions, the conference will cover a range of smart-grid interoperability issues from demand response and cyber security, information interoperability, and communications and substation networks to the value and security of customer data.
