Viega Promotes Huston to COO

Viega announced the promotion of Marki Huston to the position of chief operations officer (COO), effective Oct. 15, 2023.

In her new role as COO, Huston will continue to oversee manufacturing, as well as Viega’s Technology Hub. This organizational change will create stronger alignment across the entire value stream to further drive the company’s innovation and empower the team to respond quickly to the market and best support their customers.

Her unique background, expertise, and ability to introduce new concepts and processes quickly will enable change and help us drive our innovation forward.”

Huston joined Viega in 2022 with more than 20 years of global manufacturing experience in the aircraft industry. She is a member of the Society of Women in Engineering and on the advisory board for the Department of Industrial Engineering at Wichita State University. Huston has a passion for providing leadership and empowerment to women in the manufacturing work environment, and she looks forward to using her position and her professional journey to help make an impact for women at Viega, in the industry, and within the local community.

Huston has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Wichita State University, a six sigma blackbelt certification from Newman University and a materials management certification from The Ohio State University.
