After a frustrating year of constant rescheduling and remote technology readjustments, the American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) this week will finally meet in-person for its 2021 Summer Meeting at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort in Bonita Springs FL, June 25-28.
"This four-day event is one of the most cost-effective, educational and networking opportunities available in the industry," says ABMA President & CEO Scott Lynch. "Still, we realize these are unique times, so in order to ensure we can engage all our members, the Summer Meeting will be a hybrid event with the opportunity to attend in-person and participate virtually."
With that in mind, even now, it is not too late to register or attend. Just go to https://www.abma.com/summer-meeting.
Lynch and ABMA is particularly excited to welcome keynote speaker Jay Timmons, President & CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the influential, 14,000-member industry trade group founded in 1895. Like ABMA, NAM is one of only a handful of U.S. trade associations that has been in business for over 100 years, and has now survived not one, but two global pandemics!- ICYMI: ABMA's CEO was a recent guest on our podcast, HPAC 'On The Air.'
Slated to speak next Monday, Timmons will address, among other things, next-generation recruitment efforts and NAM's success in doubling its membership since he took the helm. In particular, he will discuss the strategy behind The Manufacturing Institute's multimillion-dollar workforce development campaign, Creators Wanted.
