Free downloadable Java Archive (JAR) files facilitate the integration of WattNode energy and power meters with Tridium’s JACE controller/server platform for the Niagara Framework software infrastructure. To integrate diverse systems within a building, a physical connection to a device's network is required. Tridium’s JACE provides this connectivity for common network protocols such as LonWorks, BACnet, oBIX, and Modbus—along with many proprietary networks—in a small, compact platform. The JACE makes it possible to control and manage external devices over the Internet and present real-time information to users in Web-based graphical views. For submetering and energy management in building automation systems utilizing JACE controllers, WattNode meters provide seamless accessibility to electrical measurements including power, energy, voltage, current, and power factor. The compact and cost-effective networkable energy meters are line-powered and provide measurements on electrical systems up to 600 Vac and 6,000 A. —Continental Control Systems
