The risk of fire in a building is very real. Not only are there people doing things that may be risky, there are mechanical systems, such as heating, air conditioning, and electrical, that may put a building at risk for fire. Be sure to look carefully at your buildings to assess your risks. Maintain a healthy, operational HVAC system, install a great fire alarm system, and never assume something is in safe working order before checking it.
