ABMA Elects New Board Leadership

Victory Energy President and CEO John Viskup was elected to chair the board of directors; Doug Wright was elected vice-chair by the board of directors.

The American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) announced that Victory Energy President and CEO John Viskup was elected to chair the board of directors at the group’s 2019 annual meeting at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

“It is quite an honor to be elected by my peers to lead this great organization,” Viskup said. “I look forward to continuing our momentum and advancing ABMA and the boiler industry.”

Doug Wright, president and CEO of Superior Boiler, was re-elected to a three-year term on the ABMA board by the membership and elected vice-chair by the board of directors.

Viskup and Wright are joined by Detroit Stoker Co. President Tom Giaier, who continues as secretary/treasurer, and Earle Pfefferkorn, president of boiler systems from Cleaver-Brooks, who moves to the role of Immediate past chair after serving as board chair for the last two years.

The ABMA membership also elected Tricia Staible, president of Robinson Fans, for a three-year term on the ABMA board, along with the re-nomination of Mark Colman, president of Rentech Boiler Systems.

In addition, Associate Member Group Leadership have seats on the board and elected Rhett Baker, president of Quest-Tec Solutions, as chair after two years as vice-chair, and Steven Taylor, director of sales at WARE, as vice-chair during the group’s meeting.

“I am looking forward to working closely with John Viskup and Doug Wright to implement a shared vision and excited for the addition of Tricia Staible and Steven Taylor,” said Scott Lynch, ABMA president and CEO.

The balance of the board of directors is:

  • Eric Benoit, vice president of sales, Clarage;
  • Eric Graham, national sales manager, Webster Combustion;
  • Bob Rizza, vice president of sales and marketing, Power Flame;
  • Steve Rubarts, vice president, Williams & Davis;
  • Nancy Simoneau, president and CEO, Groupe Simoneau; and
  • Don Whitman, package boiler business manager, Babcock & Wilcox.
