ABMA Presents Member Tenure Awards for 125, 100 and 75 Years

Members are honored for their historic tenure with the association at its 2019 annual meeting.
The American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) recognized the following members for their historic tenure with the association at its 2019 annual meeting.

125 years. Johnston Boiler Co. joined ABMA as one of its founding members in 1889 and is the only founding member with continuous involvement in ABMA for more than 125 years.

For 150 years, Johnston Boiler has been manufacturing large Scotch Marine fire-tube boilers and pioneered the first water-backed boiler more than 100 years ago and the first packaged boiler more than 65 years ago.

100 years. Babcock and Wilcox and Hartford Steam Boiler joined ABMA in 1918, adding two more companies that have reached the 100-year century mark with the association.

75 years. Clark Reliance (1927), Detroit Stoker Co. (1937) and Hays Cleveland (1938) have achieved at least 75 years since they joined ABMA.

Clark-Reliance serves the level indication and control, sightflow indication, and filtration and separation industries. Founded in 1884 as the Reliance Gauge Column Co., it has a long and rich history that abounds with innovation. Clark-Reliance is dedicated to supplying the largest and broadest product line in the instrumentation industry for all types of measurement and control.

Since 1898, Detroit Stoker Co. provides combustion systems and equipment for the production of steam used in heat, industrial processing and electric power generation. It is unlocking the value of renewable energy sources, providing cost-effective energy solutions while responsibly supporting the evolving market for cleaner sustainable energy.

For more than 110 years, Hays Cleveland, a division of Unicontrol, has manufactured combustion controls, instruments and systems for commercial, industrial and institutional markets. It focuses on design, application and installation of a broad range of control and monitoring devices for commercial, industrial and institutional boilers and burners, specializing in custom solutions to specific application needs.
