AMCA International Votes Down Scheduled Assessment Increase

April 30, 2009
The Air Movement and Control Association International Inc. (AMCA International) Board of Directors has reviewed the current dues structure and decided there will be no cap-assessment increase on July 1, 2009.

The Air Movement and Control Association International Inc. (AMCA International) Board of Directors has reviewed the current dues structure and decided there will be no cap-assessment increase on July 1, 2009.

The increase was scheduled to go into effect July 1, 2009, increasing the cap assessment from $47,000 to $50,000.

During the February Winter Board Meeting, the AMCA Board of Directors voted unanimously to delay the assessment increase for one year. The increase was scheduled to occur July 1, 2009, and has been delayed until July 1, 2010.

The board recognizes that an increase during this time of economic strife may create an additional hardship for some of the member companies. While realizing that periodic small increases are necessary and essential to comply with the association’s plan in maintaining the Certified Ratings Program and AMCA’s global presence, the board felt that delaying an increase of the cap assessment for one year was appropriate.
