AMCA Seeks Volunteers to Author Standard on Fan Efficiency Ratio

March 17, 2015
FER is the ratio of actual fan efficiency to a baseline fan efficiency, both calculated at a given airflow and pressure point.

Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International Inc. is seeking volunteers to form a committee to author a standard introducing the fan-efficiency-ratio (FER) metric.

FER is the ratio of actual fan efficiency to a baseline fan efficiency, both calculated at a given airflow and pressure point.

Committee members will be expected to participate in drafting, review, and the resolution of any and all comments. Most, if not all, meetings will be by conference call. Once the technical committee is formed, work is expected to be completed within six to 18 months.

To volunteer, complete the form at http://tinyurl.com/FER-Standard-Committee. The deadline is March 25, 2015.
