Onset Publishes Whitepaper on Managing Carbon Dioxide in Buildings

Nov. 14, 2016
Scientific and medical research links CO2 to discomfort and lost productivity among occupants in offices, schools, health-care facilities, and dwellings.

Onset, supplier of data loggers and monitoring solutions, recently published a whitepaper examining the risks of elevated carbon dioxide (CO2) and how data loggers can be used to cost-effectively monitor CO2 and maintain safe levels.

Scientific and medical research links CO2 to discomfort and lost productivity among occupants in offices, schools, health-care facilities, and dwellings.

Developed by Greg Lowitz, a globally recognized expert in structural monitoring, “Managing Carbon Dioxide Risk: What You Should Know” begins with discussion of how CO2 concentration is a key indicator of indoor-air quality and ventilation effectiveness in work and living spaces. It then examines the risks associated with high indoor CO2 levels, such as sick-building syndrome, poor occupant health, and cognitive impairment and dysfunction. Next, it examines how CO2 data loggers provide a cost-effective solution for detecting and managing indoor CO2 levels in real time.

The whitepaper also provides data-logger mounting recommendations, an overview of calibration and differential options, and criteria for evaluating CO2 data loggers.

The whitepaper can be downloaded here.
