AHR Expo Explores Rescheduling Chicago Show to March 2021

Aug. 31, 2020
Show organizers have not made a final decision, but they are now making alternate plans for an in-person show, should COVID-19 cases in the U.S. continue to rise.

The 2021 AHR Expo is scheduled to take place Jan. 25-27 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, but show organizers are making alternate plans for an in-person show should COVID-19 cases in the city, and across the country,  continue to rise. The statement is as follows:

“In an effort to explore all options, we recently conducted a survey among exhibitors, as well as our co-sponsoring groups, regarding the possibility of rescheduling the in-person event for March 15-17, 2021.

No final decisions have been made.

“We remain dedicated to the safety and welfare of all our guests and continue to examine current events and how they may impact the 2021 AHR Expo. Given the uncertainty of the pandemic in combination with changing restrictions by the State of Illinois and the City of Chicago, we feel that changing the dates to provide an additional seven weeks to plan and prepare may be a wise decision.

“HVAC&R continues to play a vital role in the management of COVID19 and the effects of this global pandemic. We understand the importance of meeting together, in person, to learn and share ideas of how we can mitigate the current landscape and threats of the future. We are committed to supporting each member of our industry as we shift into a post-pandemic world.”
