Live Facility Management Events are Back!

July 27, 2021
Pushing Zoom aside, the Facilities and Managing Green Buildings Expos will resume in-person events over the next three months in California, Oregon, and Texas.

After a seemingly endless period of lockdowns, Zoom meetings, and a lack of person-to-person contact, the nation’s heating, piping, and air conditioning engineering professionals are finding that their education needs and exposure to the latest products and industry trends in the facilities management arena are now being met through the return of live events.

In particular, a series of five live regional events ― the Facilities and Managing Green Buildings Expos, or Facilities Expos for short ― continue to establish their name as a valuable and relevant exhibition for the owners, managers, maintenance personnel, engineers, and contractors that purchase, install, maintain and service building equipment like HVAC, plumbing/piping, and building automation/control systems. For 2021, the Facilities Expos will set up shop from August through October in the states of California, Oregon, and Texas.

These events, held for decades in each of their respective locations, were held virtually like most events in 2020 and early 2021. But as of this summer, they are back in their usual Convention Center venues ready to deliver lasting benefits to attendees. Mechanical engineers can register for free attendance to experience the Facilities Expos firsthand. The main components driving the expos include a solution-filled hall consisting of the latest products and services, high-interest educational conferences, as well as dedicated networking lounges.

The tagline for the 2021 expos, “Where Facility Challenges Find Solutions,” seamlessly sums the events up.

Depending on the location there are anywhere from 70 to 150 different exhibitors ready to display their regional solutions, new products, and latest technologies. The product and service offerings touch upon all areas of the facility industry and include HVACR systems, plumbing & mechanical systems, lighting, building automation, predictive maintenance, roofing, energy management, electrical systems, safety, renewable energy, and environmental regulations, to name a few.

Aside from the benefits of the exhibitor hall, attendees can also receive Certificates of Attendance, upon request, for attending the conference seminar sessions that can be used to accumulate CEU (Continuing Education Unit) credits.

“There is nothing like the Facilities Expo. Here attendees can learn the latest trends, shop for solutions, and reconnect with those in the industry. We’re so excited to mark our return as the only combined Facilities, MRO, and Green Buildings tradeshow this summer and fall,” said Lisa Nagle, Group Show Director.

One of the hot topics that the expos plan to address during their two-day conferences includes dealing with the building environment in a post-COVID world. How do building owners and facility management professionals get their sites back to normal? What is energy and environmental management like now? How have maintenance and construction projects changed?

Other sessions include Verifying That Your Buildings Have Good Indoor Air Quality, The Title 24 Energy Code for Non-Residential Buildings – New Updates, Fire Safety for Buildings Under Construction – You Need a Plan, and Direct-Drive Fan Arrays – Applications for Energy Savings.

Now, more than ever, it is important to reconnect with those in the industry and listen to other experts on how to reinvent and rebuild our facilities in this brand-new world, and the Facilities Expos supplies all the tools necessary to achieve just this.
