Taco Appoints VandeWiel President/COO

VandeWiel will oversee daily operations and work with CEO John Hazen White Jr. and Taco’s board of directors in steering the company’s growth.

Wil VandeWiel is the new president and chief operating officer of Taco Inc., Cranston, R.I.-based manufacturer of heating and cooling equipment, systems, and accessories for hydronic-based applications in residential, commercial, and institutional buildings.

VandeWiel will oversee daily operations and work with Chief Executive Officer (CEO) John Hazen White Jr. and Taco’s board of directors in steering the company’s growth.

White, who previously held the title of president, will refocus his responsibilities on strategic acquisitions and building new partnerships.

VandeWiel, a native of the Netherlands who also is a U.S. citizen, served as president/CEO of DORMA GmbH, a global access-control company located in Pennsylvania, which he guided through a period of growth based on a strategy of acquisitions and customer and employee engagement. Prior to that, he was managing director of U.S.-based Robert Bosch LLC’s Security Systems division and served in senior leadership roles for Royal Philips N.V.
