The National Institute of Building Sciences is sponsoring one-day introductory and advanced cybersecurity workshops to help owners, facility managers, maintenance engineers, physical-security specialists, information-assurance professionals, architects, engineers, and contractors learn best-practice techniques for better protecting their buildings.
All of the workshops will be held at the Institute's headquarters in Washington, D.C., and be taught by Michael Chipley of The PMC Group LLC.
The schedule is as follows:
- Introduction to Cybersecuring Building Control Systems: April 12, July 19, Oct. 18.
- Advanced Cybersecuring Building Control Systems: April 13, July 20, Oct. 19.
- Cybersecuring DoD Control Systems: April 14, July 21, Oct. 20.
All of the workshops will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration is $600 per person and includes lunch. Seating is limited to 20 students per day.
