The AABC Commissioning Group will conduct an educational workshop June 23 in Houston, followed by an administration of the exam for the Certified Commissioning Authority credential for approved candidates.
The accelerated one-day workshop covers all aspects of commissioning ranging from design reviews and OPRs, to functional testing and commissioning documentation, and addresses both new and existing building commissioning. The workshop is approved by the American Institute of Architects for five LU/HSW continuing education units.
The CxA exam is a four-hour, closed-book exam that tests approved candidates on their knowledge of the commissioning process, as well as a general understanding of building systems and how commissioning fits in with the rest of the construction process.
