PRESS RELEASE

Commercial and industrial HVAC manufacturer AAON announced that Executive Vice President Gene Stewart notified leadership of his decision to resign, effective Aug. 16, 2022.

Stewart returned to the company in April 2020 after a five-year absence as president of the AAON Coil Products subsidiary in Longview, TX. After successfully transforming the Longview operations, in January 2022, he was promoted to executive vice president of the company, at its Tulsa, OK, facilities.

“It has been my distinct pleasure to serve as president of AAON Coil Products and executive vice president of AAON,” Stewart noted. “I have tremendous respect for Gary Fields and the entire AAON leadership team. It will be exciting to watch AAON continue to transform the industry in the coming years.”

AAON President and CEO Fields said: “I would like to thank Gene for his contributions over the last two and a half years. Gene has had a profound impact on our aftermarket business strategy, including during his prior role as the company’s aftermarket business leader – parts and warranty service, that he held from January 2013 through January 2015, and played an important role in the build-out of our new marketing platform.

“Gene also contributed to making our operations team and sales channel stronger and more robust, and we wish him all the best in the future.”

New VP of sales and marketing

In other news, AAON promoted Rob Teis to vice president, sales and marketing, effective Aug. 3, 2022. Teis most recently served as AAON’s director of sales since February 2017, having responsibility for the company’s sales organization, including aftermarket sales, customer support, applications and technical support.

Before that, he served as an applied equipment sales engineer for the company for 15 years. Teis is a registered professional engineer in Oklahoma and worked as a consulting engineer prior to joining AAON.

“Rob brings unique and highly complementary skills to this role,” Fields noted. “He is able to explain highly technical HVAC concepts in ways that easily demonstrate the design attributes and value of AAON’s products. This knowledge and skill set has allowed Rob to gain the respect of his colleagues, customers and our sales channel partners, and I am very excited to continue working with him as he enters this elevated role with our organization.”
