Trane, Autodesk Partner on New Data Center Reference Kits

DAVIDSON, NC, August 25, 2026 – Trane this week unveiled new tools to help design and build complex AI and data center infrastructure. Now available within Autodesk® Revit® and Autodesk Forma®, Trane® Data Center Reference Kits represent the first system-level, thermal management guides for both platforms.
Access to Trane’s thermal management reference designs within these industry-standard platforms for building design and early-stage planning will help project teams collaborate more seamlessly, reduce duplicate modeling, and support more efficient delivery across next-generation AI factories.
The new Reference Kits draw on Trane Technologies’ thermal management reference design work for large-scale AI and data center environments, including recent design optimizations and expanded Trane Continuum Rubin DSX reference designs. Accessible within Autodesk workflows, they provide design, engineering and delivery teams with a shared set of project resources from early design through commissioning, helping to reduce disconnected handoffs and supporting more coordinated model review, issue management and stakeholder alignment.

The Data Center Reference Kits build on the previously announced integration of Trane TRACE® software integration with Revit to help accelerate and simplify sustainable building design.
