AMCA ADDS ADVOCACY, TECHNICAL LEADS
Air Movement and Control Association International announced the addition of Aaron Gunzner in the new role of advocacy manager and the promotion of Nazme Mohsina to the position of technical director.
Gunzner will assume responsibility for many activities related to advocacy in North America, including participation in code hearings, conferences and meetings; service on advocacy-related committees; contributing to advocacy-related content and member advisories; improving infrastructure for advocacy; and contributing to positive industry relations. Previously, Gunzner was a design engineer and production manager for a manufacturer of X-ray collimators in Golden CO.

Previously associate directorof certification, Mohsina will direct the activities of AMCA’s laboratory, located in Ar-lington Heights IL, in addition to continuing to adminis-ter the association’s Certified Ratings Program (CRP). She can be reached at [email protected] or 847-704-6265.
Mohsina joined AMCA in 2011 as certification/project engineer, a role in which she was responsible for ensuring manufacturer ratings developed for the CRP were based on standardized testing, developing software tools to ease the certification process, serving on the laboratory-accreditation team, auditing national and international manufacturer test laboratories, developing project guidelines, managing projects and priorities, and providing complex data analysis. She was promoted to associate director of certification in 2017.
FRESH-AIRE TAPS THREE SALES EXECS
Fresh-Aire UV promoted Sean Moseley, Marissa Granados and Chuck Walsh to handle the company’s ultra-violet germicidal irradiation and activated carbon media air treatment products.

Moseley moves to vice president of residential sales, a position vacated by Fresh-Aire UV co-principal Ron Saun-ders, who now assumes the role of director of sales. Granados and Walsh will share national sales manager duties.
Moseley, who joined Fresh-Aire UV in 2011 as a regional sales manager, will oversee the efforts of national sales man-agers and the company’s vital training and sales development with wholesale distributors, manufacturer’s representatives and contractors.
Granados’ national sales manager position will cover the Northeast, Central and West-ern states. She joined the Fresh-Aire UV team in 2016 as a sales and training manager, which was also her previous position at refrigerant recovery machine manufacturer Appion, Engle-wood CO. Besides training, she’ll also be positioning Fresh-Aire UV reps for a more aggressive approach in training con-tractors as well as wholesalers.
Walsh, who joined the company’s inside sales team in 2017, will share national sales manager duties with Granados. He’ll cover the Southeast, a territory he began developing last year in four states. Walsh will be responsible for training and supporting manufacturer’s representatives, distributors and contractors in the expanded territory of Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
NAVAC HIRES NEW REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
NAVAC North America ap-pointed Andrew Greaves to the role of regional sales manager. In this position, Greaves will ensure proper training and tool use by overseeing all relationships with distribution channels and managing the company’s representative network.

A former Marine, Greaves is a master licensed HVAC mechanic in Kentucky with extensive experience in the HVAC service industry. Prior to joining NAVAC, he worked as a factory-trained service mechanic at Johnson Controls, where he conducted maintenance on a wide spectrum of equipment ranging from VRF systems to centrifugal chillers.
Greaves also operates his own YouTube Channel, AK HVAC, which provides insight into the HVAC trade and advice for young people interested in joining the field. He studied HVAC at Bluegrass Community & Technical College.
VIEGA NAMES NEW HR CHIEF
Industry veteran Terry Samona was named vice president of human resources at Viega LLC. He oversees human resources management and development at Viega’s U.S. operations, including headquarters and a seminar center in Broomfield CO; a manufacturing plant and distribution hub in McPherson KS.; three additional distribution centers in Nevada, Georgia and Penn-sylvania; and a seminar center in Nashua NH.

Samona’s entire career has been in human resources. Prior to joining Viega, he was vice president of human resources at Hach Environmental. He previously held leadership positions at Honeywell International and Entergy Corp.
He has a master’s degree in psychology from Mississippi State University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Louisiana State University.
In other news, Martin Knieps, director of technical marketing for Viega LLC, has been selected to join the board of directors of Plumbing Manufacturers International. He will serve a two-year term on the seven-member board. Knieps, who joined Viega in 2006, has been active with PMI since 2015. He most recently served on its Advocacy/Government Affairs Committee.
LIRO GROUP ELEVATES MARKETING VP
The LiRo Group, a national mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering, construction management, architecture and technology firm, promoted Nancy Malicki to vice president in charge of its marketing department. She is responsible for managing LiRo’s marketing program, including the development and production of proposals, business development activities, advertising, client presentations, and strategic communications and marketing initiatives.

Malicki joined LiRo in 2001 as marketing coordinator. Her previous title was associate vice president. Prior to LiRo, she had been the director of research at Adelphi University,
conducting grant research on alternative energy sources.
SHEFF TO LEAD DANFOSS PUBLIC AFFAIRS
Danfoss announced the appointment of John Sheff as its new director of public and industry affairs for North America. Sheff will succeed Mark Menzer in the role when Menzer retires in July.

Sheff previously was business development manager for Danfoss in North America, leading cross-business initiatives within buildings, including strengthening engagement with utilities and Danfoss partners to leverage incentive rebates to improve energy efficiency in existing buildings.
He joined Danfoss five years ago as part of its two-year post-graduate program after earning an MBA from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. He also holds a second master’s degree from the University of Mary-land’s School of Architecture in real estate development and sustainable urban development.
He previously worked as a policy analyst for the office of former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, where he evaluated and developed energy efficiency and renewal energy plans for the state of Maryland.
Menzer is preparing to retire after five years at Danfoss and 35 years in the industry. In 2018, he was recognized by the Air-Conditioning, Heating, & Refrigeration Institute with its Richard C. Schulze award for distinguished service and commitment.
